Jonathan Ramirez

Sous Chef

Born and raised in Summit, New Jersey, Jonathan Ramirez found his way into the kitchen early on — first at a small pizzeria in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, before setting his sights on becoming the best chef he could be. His culinary path led him to New York City, where he trained under some of the industry’s top chefs at Jean-Georges and The Fulton, mastering the precision and discipline of fine dining while developing his own creative voice.

Now Sous Chef at the recently opened Aubrey’s Corner, Jonathan brings that experience home. His cooking reflects a love for approachable French-American cuisine — thoughtful, technique-driven food made to be shared by families and neighbors. For him, Aubrey’s Corner represents both creative freedom and community: a place where every dish is crafted with care by a hardworking team, and where Summit can gather around great food in a welcoming space.

Beyond the kitchen, Jonathan is passionate about mentorship — helping cooks grow into chefs and inspiring them to pursue their passion with purpose. When he’s not at the stove, you’ll find him watching football or spending time with his wife, whether traveling or discovering new restaurants together.
